How it works

At WiNFUND, we empower women entrepreneurs to transform healthcare in underserved communities by bridging the gap between innovation and gender equity. Through targeted funding, expert mentorship, and strategic partnerships, we enable ventures to scale their impact, driving systemic change in global healthcare.

From Innovation to Impact: The WiNFUND Journey
  1. Step 1: Submit an Application
Women-led ventures with innovative solutions to healthcare challenges apply to join the WiNFUND program.

  2. Step 2: Expert Evaluation
A global panel of health and innovation experts rigorously evaluates applications. We look for ventures with demonstrated potential to create measurable impact and scale their solutions effectively.

  3. Step 3: Cohort Selection
Selected entrepreneurs join the prestigious WiNFUND Cohort, a group of bold innovators committed to improving healthcare access.

  4. Step 4: Growth Support
    Participants receive tailored support through:

    • Mentorship and Training: Entrepreneurs work closely with global leaders in healthcare, investment, and innovation. This includes intensive workshops and personalized coaching to refine their business strategies and improve their market readiness.

    • Capacity Building: Our modules focus on business roadmapping, market discovery, impact measurement, and investment readiness, ensuring ventures are well-positioned for growth.

    • Strategic Connections: Entrepreneurs are connected with a network of investors, policymakers, and industry experts to build partnerships and access new opportunities.

  5. Step 5: Alumni Network
After completing the program, entrepreneurs join the dynamic WiNFUND Alumni Network. This community fosters continued learning, collaboration, and access to resources, amplifying the long-term impact of their ventures.

"What I would love to see is a lot of emphasis around the communication space as to how important women's health is in Africa and particularly alleviating poverty because women feel the brunt of burden of disease and poverty."
